The task
To redesign the painting robot, the existing CNC drives for rotating and swiveling axes of the spray head needed to be optimized – with a weight reduction, shortening of the gearbox and nominal torque increase. Simplified assembly and disassembly were also requested.
Our solution.
In order to fulfill these demands, we developed a combined gearbox out of a spur-gear and planetary stage. In addition to the usual criteria such as service life and over-load safety, we were also able to limit the space requirements and the low backlash that the customer had specified.
